Popo was absorbed in his beehive and the sweet, delicious, scrumptious, stick, thick, syrupy, yummy honey within. He felt something jump up and clamp down on his left forearm. It felt like jaws and teeth through his thick fur, but his flesh was unharmed. Reacting blindly to the thing that had attempted to disturb his honey-fueled happiness, his free paw relinquished its grip on the beehive and swung down. A heavy, fuzzy paw thumped the skull of the wolf that had latched on to his arm and the beast limply flopped to the ground. Whether it was unconscious, stunned, or dead, Popo had no clue. His snout was in the midst of the hive and his mouth was full of honey. With a rumble and more happy bear-noises, he levered himself to his feet and began trundling over to the commotion. He vaguely remembered offering to help with something before losing himself in beehive bliss and he felt it had something to do with the noises he was hearing. He walked with his hind legs, standing upright, while both forepaws held the beehive to his snout. He couldn't see past the hive and his hands were completely full, but the hive still had honey and Popo was loathe to stop now. Stormwall Mina Akirama

If ever there was a clearer sign that two sides were not in agreement, Akirama was ignorant to its existence. A drawn blade, fresh blood upon the snow, and bodies laying in heaps upon the ground. The wolves and the conglomerate trio were most definitely not allies of one another. Two wolves lay unmoving in the snow, two more bore obvious, bleeding wounds, and the remaining two backed cautiously away from the centaur and bear. The four of them formed a large crescent around the centaur and bear. One limped slightly and another... moved clumsily, as if guided only by scent and sound. Even from Akirama's multi-kilometer distance, it was clear to see that the wolves had bitten off more than they could chew. And they knew it.
Akirama beat his large, powerful wings in several fast strokes as he accelerated and began a shallow dive towards the melee. Whatever was going on here, keeping any surviving wolves from reporting the event would weaken the Witch's control over Narnia and slow the threat of her outward expansion. And if he timed it just right... he'd arrive at about the same moment the wolves realized the exact nature of their situation.

Mina Popo AkiramaMotion flickered through gaps in the tree cover -- another bird, maybe. Two wolves to his right, not far from the bear; no sign of that bloody pigeon-hawk-falcon-thing; two more wolves moving to his left. Those latter two were circling up the slope to come down at him, cut off whatever bolting escape he might try, though a copse of trees prevented him from taking a straight course. He bolted, as expected -- for about seven steps, a lunge through belly-deep snow. His blade crashed down on the eyeless captain, and then there were three. But other shapes stirred, dark behind curtains of falling snow. The dozen wolves had not been alone; cloud cover, trees, or lies had kept the slower reinforcements out of the hawk's report.
