It was interesting, but he needed his own men, he needed at least the ear of someone. He didn't really care who, as long as they weren't loyal to the queen. The Wolf's defiance showed him what was thought of him and that worried him, so Tavrinth knew he needed his own followers that would at least report to him rather than the queen. He thought it over, gold from his horde... or the safety of their village should do the trick. So That was what found the rather large menacing dragon scouting for someone to at least corner and try to coax into becoming an agent of Tavrinth, He was willing to forgive a narnaian their anti queen status if it meant he got info. He needed to stay in the know. The Queen and the Damn wolf were up to their own games. So he scouted the wilderness outside one of the small villages hoping to catch one unaware as he worked to keep out of sight.

tavrinthThis wasn't Zoraam's village; for one thing, the Archenlander knight was a few days' travel from home, his non-talking Telmarene horse knee-deep in Narnian snow all the way here. He'd come here looking for trade in medicinal herbs, the kinds of lore that Narnians of many stripes preserved despite the winter. Herbs could stave off illness from his distant village, and Calormen traders would pay well for herbs from the 'demon land' of Narnia. Well enough, in fact, that Zoraam was willing to risk travel here, in a place where humans generally died. He'd approached at night, bunked down in the home of a satyr he knew, and was doing his utmost to keep his head down. The village was maybe three hundred total, large for Narnia in this day and age, an assortment of fauns, dwarves, centaurs and Talking Beasts. A dark place, in its way, suspicious and even brutal. No friends to the Witch, but no friends to anyone else either.
