Name: Ardeeb Tarkaan
Species/Race: Human
Age: Young to middle-aged (25-28)
Height: 6’2
Build: Brawny
Strengths: Ardeeb is pretty skilled with a sword and knows his way around commandeering wealth from people without their express permission.
Weaknesses: Ardeeb is the eldest bastard son of the current reigning Tisroc, this doesn’t give him any obvious rights - but does come with expectations, prejudices and a general attitude that gets him into problems more often that not. Furthermore, he’s a human and through it doesn’t possess any meaningful, super traits. Doesn’t have magic, doesn’t have a superb memory, just an average guy in the grand scheme of things.
Allegiance: As the Tisroc’s bastard his position in court is muddied at best, he spends most of his time traveling, which suits everyone just fine for the time being. But officially he owes his allegiance to his father and the Calormene Empire.
Home: The Anacreon, Ardeeb’s ship. Tashbaan sometimes.
Special Skills: Can navigate the seas, though that might have something to do with his navigator. Pretty good at riding a horse, using a sword? Things like that - nothing too fancy.
Weapons of Choice: Has a curved blade. Mostly uses his buckler with a short, thick saber when he’s on board of his ship.
History:
The History of Ardeeb the Bastard isn’t one of particular interest, curiosity or real tales of adventures. Born to the Tisroc and an unknown mother he was dropped off to the palace when he was but a little babe, while no formal proof was given the Tisroc, for reasons unknown, decided to keep the boy instead of throwing him out on the streets.
Growing up in the Imperial Palace of Tashbaan the Bastard hadn’t a lack of chores to do, lessons to learn or beatings to take. Never acknowledged as a legitimate child of his father the kid didn’t have the immediate protection of a big name or the perks that came with it.
In comparison to his half-brothers he didn’t get an allowance to waste away, free land to reign or anything of the kind. Instead it was endless work and teachings. Indirectly this also meant that Ardeeb was somewhat more competent in life than his siblings who didn’t have much of a leash on them.
At any rate, when he was twenty-two he finally managed to convince the Tisroc to allow him a leave of absence. Not that many people were sad to see him go, most were only happy. A competent illegitimate bastard son who was seemingly in favor with the Emperor? Ain’t a recipe of success for most people involved.
Setting off into the Wild Ardeeb adventures could finally begin, though over time he came to realize how lucky he had been living in the Palace. Not a man to return with his tail hanging between his legs, he pressed on, adamant to proof to his father that he was the only man suited for the hereditary title of the Tisroc.
