Castle of the Witch Build from stone and enchanted ice, the White Queen's fortress sits between two hills, west of Ettinsmoor and northeast of Lantern Waste. The castle is a regional hub for the secret police, and the White Queen's permanent home. Lifelike statues fill the castle -- centaurs, fauns, dryads, and Talking Beasts turned to stone, either as punishment or in the act of attacking Her Majesty.

Cair Paravel Once the palace of the Kings and Queens of Narnia, Cair Paravel was taken by the White Witch in the year 903, after a vicious three-year siege. In the decades since, to guard against the prophecy that a human enthroned at Cair Paravel will spell the end of her reign, the White Witch has used the legendary fortress as a major regional hub for her secret police and minotaur forces. Like the rest of Narnia, it is perpetually in winter, surrounded by thick sea ice.

Beaver's Dam Though humans have not been seen in this region for generations, and will not be seen for some time to come, travellers and fugitives may be able to find a bed and a hot meal courtesy of the beavers. Beaver's Dam is well connected, a social hub on a small scale, but its proximity to the White Witch's fortress means that anyone in the region needs to stay low and avoid attracting attention. Note: as these events take place an undefined number of years before the events of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Mr. and Mrs. Beaver are not the Mr. and Mrs. Beaver of the book or film. The dam and lodge are comparable though not exactly the same.

The Fords of Beruna Always frozen, ice scoured clean by high winds, the Fords of Beruna were more relevant when the river flowed. A sleepy village of dwarves, fauns, dryads, and Talking Beasts rests on the north shore, surrounded by a low stone wall. The village of Beruna rests at the intersection of the River Rush and the Great River. It is closely watched by the secret police, and Narnians have been known to disappear from their beds.

Dancing Lawn The traditional site for feasts and councils, dating back long before the Age of the Witch began. Though covered by snow, it is still used for gatherings from time to time, but only rarely, so as to keep it safe from the secret police. Several hidden communities of centaurs, fauns, and Talking Beasts are nearby.

The Stone Table The Stone Table is a monument or artifact from the dawn of time, its purpose unknown. Servants of the Witch have been known to commit sacrifices there.

Ettinsmoor A region to the north of Narnia, encircled by hills. Ettinsmoor is home to lawless giants and stranger things. Though near the White Witch's fortress, Ettinsmoor is too troublesome to fully subjugate. For those willing to hide under the noses of the giants, the frozen swamp is a decent place to avoid the secret police.

Lantern Waste The forested foothills of the western mountains, sparsely populated. Beaver's Dam is located in Lantern Waste, and the fortress of the White Queen is not far away. The region takes its name from an eternally burning lantern in the middle of nowhere, its purpose -- if any -- unknown.

Giants' Bridge An immense stone bridge over the Great Northern River, which forms the northern border of Narnia. The secret police and the Witch's army patrol the bridge in case of giant incursion.
