Name: Zoraam Hel
Species/Race: Human (half Archenlander, half Lone Islander)
Height: 6'1"
Age: Middle age
Build: Competent
Strengths: Walks quietly, good climber
Weaknesses: Poor ranged combatant, not as young as he once was
Allegiance: Archenland
Home: Zoraam Hel is an Archenlander knight, the lord of a small town at the western end of Archenland. The nearest centers of civilization are the towns of Olvin and Arakshaam.
Special Skills: Zoraam is skilled with the straight sword, both long and short.
Weapons of Choice: Straight swords in a variety of sizes
History: Born to a Redhaven slattern -- speak of prostitutes with less than complete respect, and you've made an enemy -- Zoraam Hel journeyed to Archenland as a boy, decades ago. He entered the service of the King at Stormness Head and married an Archenlander girl. Acts of accidental heroism distinguished him, and he was granted a small estate and town. The demesne had belonged to a knightly family whose line had failed, their heirs and then their lord killed in combat with the Witch's forces.
Now a widower, his sons full knights in his service and that of the king, Zoraam is undisputed master of a smallish bit of territory that nobody else would want. His lands are located in the mountains, south of Dancing Lawn, west of Mount Pire, Arakshaam, and the headwaters of the Winding Arrow, and east of the pass to Telmar. He, his sons and his men-at-arms are Archenland's westernmost defenders, with access to Narnia and the Calormen desert. Zoraam, born and raised in a major port, may have acquired the soul of an Archenlander knight, but acts sensibly and with insight in matters of trade. He is known to send and receive small convoys from Arakshaam, Telmar, and even Tehishbaan. He has been known to offer shelter to Old Narnians; his town and mountain home constitute the end of the line for some, who will find little comfort in the desert to the south, the hostile lands to the west, or the mountain peaks to the east.
